It isn't even teleporting. Look at a map of westeros, dragon stone, kings landing and east watch are all extremely close. Like 1-2 days by boat. It is a time jump, and necessary.

Seems like they are mostly setting up for next season, next season will probably be non-stop. I dont see them dealing with the white walkers in 2 episodes.
