I agree with your criticisms about seemingly unlimited ammo after guns were such a huge issue last season/had to go to garbage ppl to try to get guns, etc. Survival is no longer a focus of the show...it's just conflict with other groups. To have story progression, I get that it has to happen though. If every episode was just trying not to get eaten by walkers/finding food, it'd get really old really fast, and we'd be complaining about that. Zombies have no character development, so for antagonists, you almost have to rely on other living humans.

I still tune in every week to watch, and I still enjoy it, but there are definitely moments that cause eye-rolling.


Most shows have these moments. Newest season on GoT was way worse than Walking Dead currently


First show that comes to kind that didn't have these moments is The Wire

very annoying episode

Ezekiel and his captor are up against the fence with walkers almost on top of them. Then a few minutes later after they talk and Jerry hacks away at the chain for awhile, the dead are still about the same distance away. Carol has her hands up with 5 guns trained on her, she easily flips the guy around kills him and gets to safety before a shot can get her. Scene after scene of people just spraying bullets at each other trying to pretend that something meaningful is about to happen. Right at the last second someone comes to save the character in trouble.

I get that the tiger died and all, which is decent I guess, but it doesn't make the first 40 minutes any less annoying. This show is guilty of the tropes of the cheesy action movies I loathe.
