Worst episode of the series yet. The plot holes are brutal, and the season was going great. The most identifiably person in Kings Landing just wanders around freely and breaks into the castle. They spend half the episode talking about how broken Cersei is, but then suddenly they have to kidnap a zombie to convince her, because they're desperate for her help?. I mean she has a zombie mountain beside her at all times ffs, how is a zombie going to get her interest. King Jon, the entire north at his command, decides to get ten guys and go meet the army head on, all to.. convince cersei I guess? Instead of sending anyone else, they mash together 2 big storylines in 2 minutes to send them out to face what they've literally been running from, for no real reason. Next episode will literally just be them outnumbered and running back towards the gate. Dani executes an enemy commander and Tyrion gets soft af and bitches at her in front of everyone.

Gendry. That fourth wall rowing meme Davos mentions was jarring. Then he's suddenly a main character, and has a ton of lines as he travels from Kings Landing to Dragonstone to Eastwatch. I mean the plan is literally to capture a zombie for some reason? Suddenly Jaime believes in white walkers? Fack this show has jumped the shark.

Well first off you clearly have no idea what an actual plot hole is. Tyrion didn't wander around and break in, he snuck in through a secret tunnel. No one knows about zombie mountain except for cersei and her hand, how the fuck do you expect jon and danny to make a decision based on that information (fyi if they did THAT would have been a plot hole), also zombie mountain and the undead army are completely fucking different. Jon has been trying to get the living to ally against the dead for basically 2 seasons now, so how is trying to convince cersei of the REAL danger out of no where or confusing to you? Jon isn't going to meet the army of the undead head on with 7 (not 10) guys, they are going on a stealth scout+capture mission, of course they aren't bringing the entire fucking army to get slaughtered. Not to mention EVERYTHING Jon has ever done has shown him to be a leader that won't ask people to do something he is unwilling to, so obviously he was going to go (that is why the wildling leader also went btw). Gendry was training under the BEST blacksmith in Kings Landing, he is a master blacksmith, his story obviously is going to revolve around making the dragonglass into weapons(thats my theory anyways). Plus he has the similarities to Jon, honestly I think the entire situation was handled extremely well.

Literally everything you posted is so idiotic, it baffles me how you can get characters names correct with how little information you are able to retain and process.

Worst episode I've watched in quite some time. Nothing even really happened and the plot barely advanced.

Also I find it funny how people like Jon snow and Jaime can magically teleport from one side of the continent to the other in what seems like no time at all, but it takes someone like bran 3 seasons to travel from winterfell to outside the wall

Edit: I see fuzzy beat me to the teleporting shit after actually having read through the thread.

Holy shit some of the replies in this thread. It's a shame you actually have to explain this to people.

Lol damn you're angry aren't ya. You're way too forgiving of lazy, sloppy writing. If you can't understand how the show fell apart last episode then honestly I'm jealous. 6.5 good seasons was a good run.

Not the best, Not the worst.

A lot of doom and gloom for average episode. The Gendry war hammer was cartoonish, and I could have done without that. The teleportation is silly, but I try to ignore it, since it's slightly inevitable. Also, not searching for Jamie/Bronn by Dany / Dothraki was poorly done. Dany would have figured out that the man charging her in fancy battle armor was an important Lannister. You think she'd spend a little time investigating and trying to find out if he was dead/alive (maybe she did, but it wasn't shown).

Minor complaints, but complaints non the less.

I'm forgiving of an episode that had some flaws considering there are other great episodes. The show is being forced to wind down with 7 eps per season, so they have to condense stuff.

I feel the opposite. They needed to push the plot forward, so they took some shortcuts by doing some stuff that didn't actually make perfect sense, but they needed to get this shit done.

True, but I mean Bran sees incredible danger coming, let's the world know, and Jon, who is a king, only response is to lead a 10 man greeting party suicide mission? What the fack, none of it makes any sense.

The meeting at Dragonstone showed people agreeing that this mission was foolish. The people who are going are willing to risk everything because they need to convince Dany/Cersei the threat is real. Welcome to TV, where a group of heroes goes on a dangerous adventure and only a the highest paid actors return.

Yes, it was just strange to see an episode so rushed. Hope they slow it down a bit, it felt almost like the writers knew the plan was junk, but if they did it quickly enough and glossed over the details, viewers wouldn't notice. Also at Dragonstone the whole thing was TYRION's plan. And if they're doing it all to convince Dani, why would she care enough to send Jorah, and then be worried for him if she doesn't believe? Goddamn.
