Maybe it's the place I go but I've never had experiences like that. Lately I've been going later at night as well so the theater has like 10 people which is great. Also with the seats you can lift up the center arm so it's more like a couch, so I see people bring blankets and cuddle which is super cute.



The theater I go to now is like a 5 year old landmark. It's super high quality. I remember going to a landmark a really long time ago and it was trash, but they have really stepped up their game. Also I think it's slightly less expensive that Cineplex. The popcorn is also better imo.

As for the other part, it's currently -35 so I think that answers enough.

99/100 times an audience makes comedies/horror/or even action films worse. There’s always that idiot that laughs overly loud at everything, but they’ll laugh even more loud at the jokes from the trailers and always like a fraction of a second before the punchline even lands. It’s the same for all action blockbusters now (aka any superhero shit), since they just load those films with mediocre humor.

I have a good enough setup at home and aside from something fucking epic, like whatever Nolan is working on, it’s not worth the irritation and price that comes with it.

I’m glad you enjoy it, but stupid people don’t ever make a mediocre movie good, or a bad movie mediocre for me. It’s not as easy as just “enjoy the other aspects” as the aspects that you enjoy, are the exact aspects that annoy me. I don’t need others to tell me when to be scared or when to laugh and the feelings of random strangers don’t resonate with me. No problem that we go about shit different my man, it just takes more for me.

Finally finished setting up all my kids shit for the morning and I’m burnt as fuck, so time to pass out. Merry Christmas everyone and I hope you all have a great holiday!

And the story was pretty bad, they should've saved carnage until venom had some allies to help so they could use him as a giant threat. Like Ultron.. But hopefully good.

Couldn’t have said it better…. Venom has and always will be my favorite Spider-Man villain (and SM is one of my all time favorite heroes, love his witty banter), so Hollywood consistently using the character poorly kills me.

I try not to be too biased with critiquing films, but with characters or things I love, it’s much harder for me to not nitpick at every fuck up. The Hobbit and Ready Player One are two big ones for me. Maybe had I gone in with zero expectations or knowledge of the world I was stepping into, I would have actually enjoyed it more. I never mind plot changes or alterations, but when they take a giant shit on the world itself or the things that make the character a character, then the film is a lost cause for me.
