saw last night
was okay
i'm also really not that into superhero movies
and there was nothing about this one that really made it special or stand out
maybe just me, but i thought michael b. jordan was laughably bad
and some of the accents were really jarring
was entertaining though, and i guess that's what you pay for

Write this movie was actually worse than I was expecting.. Like a lot worse. So bad that I'm actually tempted to get on jsp on my computer instead of mobile so I can write an essay about it.

There are a lot of things about the movie that are terrible which I think is the fault of the source material so even though it totally brought me out of the story of the movie I don't think it is quite fair to blame the movie...

There are a lot of things in the movie that are 100% a rip off of Wonder Woman, like Marvel saw what made WW so successful and tried to replicate it but just failed fucking miserably. Similar to how DC fails when they try to insert Marvel-style jokes into their movies.

Also the movie was extraordinarily racist, like to an unbelievable degree. If a movie this racist was made with white people being racist they're would be civil fucking war, but they are black so it's empowering I guess.

I would also like to bring up the quote from earlier, how Wakanda is supposed to be free from the influence of the outside world, have developed their own traditions and shit. Yet within the first like 10 minutes of the movie we can see that, that entire statement is complete fucking bullshit. The main characters sister gives him "the finger" which is like a North American thing, and there are clear influences from other black cultures. I mean I don't think it is a bad thing to have a movie display other cultures, but when the entire fucking point of your movie is 100% isolationist it just doesn't make any fucking sense.

There is so much more I could rant about.

The character development was bad.
The fucking acting was so fucking bad. Like idk if they just couldn't find enough black actors or what but God damn, even the people who should have been the "heavy hitters" didn't do all that well.
The soundtrack was annoying and garage.
The movie really wasn't all that fun.
The enemy was dull and uninspired.
The "final battle" was boring.

Honestly probably the worst Marvel movie. I'd rather rewatch Age of Ultron than that garbage.

Usually when you get out of a Marvel movie people are happy and had a good time, but at the theatre I was at everyone was just like "welp..." And got up and left. No laughing about the good parts or anything. Half the people didn't even stay for the end credit scenes (usually ~80% do from what I've experienced with other Marvel films).

The middle finger was when France and Britain were at war. Captured bowmen had their middle fingers chopped off. So bowmen started to taunt their enemies with their middle finger, as it was needed to pluck their yew bow. ''Pluck yew'' eventually evolved into ''fuck you''.

i agree on so many levels also the final battle when the black dudes scream and charge i just facepalmed it was so cheesy and expected lol alot of the parts were cheesy and expected nothing new

Klaue was prob the best character died to fast

u know something is terribly wrong when the best characters have like 5-15mins of screen time just like in the last star wars movie to me benicio del toro was the best character by far yet we only see him like 4 mins

Mark Hammill was the best character. They made him disappear into thin air.

RIP all movies.

Two-fingered salute or V sign came from English bowmen.
French had their Index and middle fingers chopped off from their hand. Later English bowmen started taunting the French enemy by raising their two fingers in the two-fingered salute.

Middle finger gesture is first mentioned in ancient Greece and is 2500 years old.
