so overall wasnt to bad of a movie however. they really nerfed shit out of odin/thor. hela supposed to be loki' daughter, odin 1 shots her in comics, also thor has put her in her place a few times aswell. i really thought/hoped they would bring the odinforce into this which thor is supposed to inherit when odin dies.not to mention they dont really explain how odin ends up on earth and dies, unless i missed it during a quick beer run to the fridge.

Did you not see the second thor movie dark world? loki used his magic to pose as odin. Banishing him to earth is what killed him, he was stripped of his power and eventually just faded away. They don't spell it out, but it's heavily implied by the events of both movies.

The reason they nerf'd odin was because having such an all powerful character that can fix all the issues with the snap of a finger paints them into a corner, so he's basically been turned into an obi wan kenobi force ghost.

I just saw the movie and I think it could have been better. Seemed rushed and they cut some scenes. Dr. Strange was a funny troll. The villian was well acted but mediocre writing of the character. The writing overall was pretty mediocre. Jeff the fly Goldblum was meh. The film was not very convincing. The best scene was Dr. Strange. C+

The norse gods aren't actually immortal, not in irl lore or Marvel comics lore.

True..doesnt really make them gods. Just aliens who live for 10 000 years and have a better understanding of science then.
