Yeah i dont think so, theres actually really crap movies out there that are complete trash and this one one had a great cast, great production, interesting story....it was very well done to say the least.
Was it the greatest sci-fi movie ever made - clearly not - but it's definitely a solid B+
I think the reason why some get so triggered about hating this is solely because its slightly different from their what they are told about space and challenges our belief as to where we came from, it's really that simple.

Not at all actually.

I disliked the movie because the acting wasn't great, the character development was atrocious and because everything felt forced to me. Within 30 minutes of the movie I was hoping Fassbender's character was going to go insane and murder the rest of the crew because I hated all of them, that didn't improve throughout the movie at all, I just ended up disliking even Fassbender's character by the end as well.

Some people loved this movie, a lot of people seem to think it was at least a B+ movie, but I hated nearly everything about it. It didn't challenge anything lol. People gotta stop with those BS answers.

but that's why i liked it - I hated the characters - was especially nice watching their turn to die.

The main character wasn't as strong as Sigourney Weaver but who is?

There really wasn't a main character you could cling to and route for during the whole thing, but i've seen a buttload of actual shitty films and this wasn't even close.

I just didn't enjoy it. It's a personal opinion, but I was bored throughout the entire thing and never once did I feel anything during it. That makes a movie bad for me. It was visually impressive, but it had nothing else going for it.

I don't think that's much of a factor at all lol

Very disappointing film, the plot twists and surprises were pretty transparent and the characters made dumb choices (i.e. Captain Chris).
