When Scarlett was picked she was not on anyone's radar, the role made her and all because the character she played was famous among fans long before the movies existed.

Are you just arguing for the sake of argument now? Avengers definitely wasn't what put her on the radar but it has pushed her to another level.

Nobody mentioned those other roles being luck and nobody said luck is the only argument. Also nobody doubted that she is a huge star right now.
Need to read what people are saying and not create yourself a strawman to fight against.

We were discussing the link Seifersan posted about top grossing actors.
Blah58 argued that Avengers skyrocketed her career and that the lack of a contract, resulting in negotiable earnings, is why she made it so high in the list.

Your argument was bad irrelevant of this because you relied almost entirely on a straw man argument to refute.

The reason being very contrived doesn't make the metrics any less true.

She's famous for being hot. She's famous for being famous. Bottom line, that superficial stuff still contributes to the strength of her brand.
