I just mean their worlds
Not super overpowered abilities, both willing to kill, both dark themes, both very troubled, both fighting other "extraordinary" people
Duh.... that's how Netflix intended it to be, hence the previous comment about them planning out their revenue stream for the next 20 years. They can release a bunch of individual series that give some insight into the backstory of each hero, and then have them face off against one of their most interesting villains to make the season as intriguing as possible, and have you wanting more. From there, they can start doing crossovers here and there, and eventually lead into a full-on Avengers type deal with 3-5 of them banding together to face either a single adversary or a collective of villains. They can probably squeeze out 2-3 season on each hero, doing some crossovers here and there, and then start having joined seasons.
The dark and gritty superhero world is a lot more interesting than the feel good bullshit we got before Nolan finally showed some fucking balls. It works, and more and more shows/movies are taking it in that direction. Almost all of the sequels to each popular marvel movie tried to make it darker than it's predecessor. Netflix isn't fucking around, they're just picking characters that can only be made interesting by their environment and their enemies. It's genius and I hope they don't stop anytime soon.
I enjoyed Jessica Jones, but it wasn't amazing or anything, I'd say 7/10 - 7.5/10 overall. Daredevil was right around the same for me. Both of them have been better than any of the network superhero trash we've seen. Flash, Arrow, Gotham etc.. have all been soaps with superheros. It's lazy pandering that's going to lead nowhere. That's how all of those shows work, they're enjoyable for a short amount of time by piling bullshit on top of bullshit and then they just fucking collapse on themselves and you're angry that you wasted 3-5 seasons worth of time on it. Netflix seems like they're working towards something. It's early, but I think they have a plan and some sort of broad outline on an endgame. None of the network shows do. Everything will continue to get worse and worse and they'll all end on a complete shit note with no real satisfaction once ratings drop far enough lol.

It's okay too bad her powers are fucking shit.
They made her pretty fucking weak in this. It's alright, she's easily the least interesting and most hateable person they've announced that their building a show around.
Daredevil was a much more interesting hero, his supporting cast just wasn't nearly as good as Jones. The Punisher should be epic. I know they signed a deal for 4 shows, I don't know if they've announced who #4 will be. Hopefully it's also someone better than Jones. Tennant carried this fucking show lol.
