Or, you are just used to the Lotr trilogy orcs since that art appeared first.

You're making assumptions regarding things you aren't sure about.  You don't know what goes on in the studio or why decisions are made.

No, i'm used to a time when things in movies didn't look like straight out of Pixar film.

You can improve small things with CGI but if you create entire CGI based characters it just looks like garbage, the only reason people do this is to save time and money.

The dinosaurs in 17 year old Jurassic park look better than the orcs in this film, straight up embarassing.

I prefer the orcs in Lotr as well, but it's still all opinion.

That's nice.

In the second page of this thread, you said you didn't care what people think.  Clearly, you do care.

"Not caring what people think," is one of the most pretentious, cliche, childish phrase out there.  I would reconsider not using it.

You're not helping your case man. You told arguably the biggest Hobbit fanboy in this sub that he doesn't understand the story, do you have any idea how idiotic that is?

I guess I should reiterate the not caring statement. I don't care what people online think. It doesn't make me pretentious, it just means I don't care about any of this.

If you don't care, then don't post.

I don't follow your life, it's not my problem that I don't know your interests.

Ignorance isn't an excuse. My general feeling or knowledge of this subject is shown in this topic that you're currently posting in. Since you seem to care, perhaps you should work on your reading comprehension and you'd be able to come up with more relevant responses.

Having an opinion on a subject doesn't always correlate to being the "biggest fanboy." It may only imply you have general knowledge.

Not knowing something personal about your interests isn't ignorance.

It seems like the only argument people make in this thread is relating to reading comprehension, it's getting old.

Since we are both off topic, we are both being irrelevant....how about that.

the pale orc being full cgi was a bad move.

lurtz was wayyy more intimidating and memorable and he got 1/10 the screen time

I like the first, really disliked the second (might have been the theater though there were visual issues imo), but this trailer gives me hope for a epic finale. (not as epic as the return of the king.... yes i do like the 30 minute ending it was needed)

This, a mix of practical and cgi is preferred if cgi is being used.

The ending to the Hobbit (book) is far superior to the ending of the LOTR trilogy (book/movie), shit is fucking epic. I'm honestly wondering how Jackson is going to fuck this up. I know he is, I'm just not sure how.

I find it funny how people are saying that the orcs from LotR are CGI, yes, they may have made some CGI graphics, but what the viewers don't realise,
is that the battle scenes were actually extras [NZ Army and Terratorials] and a CGI imprint was overlayed. As for the Hobbit series... who knows what
has been included/excluded in the making... I think some of the comments in this thread should be backed up with some evidence instead of speculation.

Jackson has an idea, is his ideas influenced in anyway, we don't fucking know... so please get it right... investigate more before slandering.
