This looks like a fun watch, but I don't see what makes it a "new era" or anything. It looks like another typical zombie movie, only probably with a higher budget, so more special effect scenes.
It seems like nowadays zombies and vampires are getting all the love. What about all the other undead creatures? Where have our mummies, ghosts, skeletons, ghouls, wraiths, liches, etc. gone?
Also, it seems like a lot of people in this thread don't know the meaning of creative license. Especially when it comes to a fictional creature. It doesn't bother you that dragons have variations in fictions on whether they can talk, breath fire, fly, cast magic, are snake-like or dinosaur-like, etc. but it bothers you if some people make zombies run while others make them walk? Yeah... I'm not going to say you're idiots but... you're certainly fixated on the trivial and irrelevant.
Uhh running is one thing... it's another thing to be running as fast as a car, climbing on top of each other and building walls, and climb each other while being a wall.. fucking stupid
