The Glenn death was definitely the best protagonist death on the show so far. Not many shows kill off beloved characters in that fashion.

if this was on hbo we would have seen every gruesome detail

even the comics censored it though

It was really disturbing in my view, especially the eye popping out. Just the whole episode was really urghh

So the main take away from that was simply that Abraham died.

Other than that, things ended up just what we had expected going in. They teased us with the possible loss of a hand, but nothing came of it.

Secondarily, Daryl is taken hostage which I suppose is a noteworthy plot point.
