They never have faced a situation like this. Every time they had a chance at winning and did. They are outnumbered by a fuck ton and all of their arrogance got two of their family killed. Rick just got mindfucked so hard too.

ah well like i said the show was getting stale but sparked my interest again with Negan, lets see where it goes from here

Similar situation at Terminus though, all of the key characters suspended helpless over a drain trough or trapped in a traincar. Still held their own decently well compared to this... Maybe they're just trying to show that old comforts don't fly in this season.

Except two people in their group didn't get their brains smashed to pieces in Terminus. Plus the Terminus threat got squashed quick. Negan still has a huge army and basically owns them.
