I understand why they all acted like they did in this moment which was surprising and traumatic. But once they have a chance to gather themselves and reassess, I don't see why this would break them psychologically (Maggie being the exception it makes sense for her to lose it mentally).

They've all gotten used to losing loved ones before. Their experience has prepared them for this. They should be able to consider Daryl lost and start making good decisions tomorrow.
