No.

They are waiting for the books now. How can Jon be in this next season when the books haven't even decided his future?

Not at all. The producers have known for a while how the series end. They sat down with George and he told em the broadstrokes for every character's arc.
While GRRM hasn't finish the books, he knows how it will end since the 90s

You think that he would let the show spoil arguably the biggest cliffhanger in his book series?

Yes, he's obligated by contract.

Yeah because it's not like they can't mutually agree not to continue his story until it's published. That wouldn't make any sense right...

Great point.

It doesn't. Why would HBO stop the show for years? They would lose tons of money and viewers.

Why would they have to cancel the show for years....they can still progress the other characters stories.

Bran didn't appear in this season. They didn't have to stop the show for that.

There's only two seasons left, I can't see Jon being away for one season and come back for the last one.

Also Bran wasn't in this season because he's a greenseer, he's almost omnipotent. Putting him in s5 wasn't possible because his screentime would reveal major things and they werent ready for that in this season.

Anyway the show have now surpassed the books so season 6 episode 1 will spoil a lot of things.

How could you possibly be dumb enough to think that an ongoing TV show is just going to stop the biggest story line to wait for the author to finish his book? It could be another 2 years before he's done with it. A lot of the other story lines have gone further than the books, why would this one be any different?

I'm throwing ideas out. Maybe instead of being a douche bag and calling people dumb you should use your head and realize that.

For all we know they could stretch the next books content over 2-3 seasons.

Before you get your narrow minded patriot colored panties twisted just remember these are just ideas being thrown at a wall.
