Could've would've should've.
You do not know this.
Both of them are limping from a leg/foot injury, severely hindering their movement.
Otis also has the weight problem.

Continuing to limp along with Otis who continuously has to stop doesn't just endanger both of them, it puts that child at risk.
While in a perfect world, Shane's actions would be deplorable.
It's a zombie apocalypse and there's a little boy who is hanging by a thread because of the very man standing next to you.
I do not fault Shane for making the choice to sacrifice Otis for his and the little boy's life.
Shane will just have to live with the guilt, while also battling with his affections for Rick's wife and his admiration for Rick.
The man has it worse out of the entire group.

I don't even know why I'm responding to this, you're a long winded individual.

When otis shot the kid it was a clear accident. He was hunting to provide for an entire family, while this stupid kid was walking up to a buck (who should have fucking gauged his eyes out if this is supposed to be a representation of what a real life zombie situation would be.)

The way the footage was shot coupled with the pace they were going before Shane stopped for a prima donna leg shot shows they could have made it.

The life of the kid is worth anymore than the life of Otis? In a zombie apocalypse, the life of a strong willed hunter with various skills (otis) would be infinitely more valuable than a little boy. Now this kid is going to live through a zombie apocalypse with a slow healing gunshot wound, he's wasted precious time and medicine, and he's even more of a liability. The kid did not deserve to get shot, and deserves to live, but since you wanted to turn this into a "this is a zombie apocalypse" then you put your foot in your own mouth.

Otis saved Shanes life, if Shane wanted to make a sacrifice he could have sacrificed himself. His past with Rick's wife is nothing but a ticking disgusting time bomb and as he pointed out before by packing up his own car, he has nothing of value left in the group.

Go watch some awful vampire show now.

Progress the show quicker plz. Season 1 was amazing. Every episode the storyline would progress so quickly that it made it much more interesting, now since the start of season 2 that have literally stayed in the same place the whole time.

All this better just be a big setup for a big finish to the season. Still so many cliffhangers which have gone unaddressed.

the progress is just fine

if they don't go out of the way a little bit then there would be so many cliffhangers and shit that they couldn't put in the show that makes it more interesting in the realism department.

first episode they were leaving atlanta and got stuck on the highway.

second episode was focused on the girl going missing

3rd episode was focused on trying to get supplies for carl and regrouping everyone.

the story will obviously move on in the next episode.

I wouldn't put merle on that list, considering how far the show has come and how long of a distance the characters have travelled since that incident. I mean its not like he will come running out of the woods trying to kill everyone, I personally just think 'he got away' was the end of that particular story point.

But we will see...

See that's what leaves a sour taste to me, the unadressed cliffhangers from season 1. The black guy and his kid, Merle, and what Jenner told him. I just don't want any more unresolved cliffhangers in season 2, at least do a webisode showing what happened to merle and the black guy with his kid or something. I just don't like the fact that we never learned of their fate.

Season 2 finishing without ever finding out what happened to the little girl would be the equivelent to not finding out what happened to merle imo. We were introduced to both of those characters, we learned of their personalities and characteristics, it's not like they were some random characters in the show.

you can't blame the show or the producers or directors.

read the comics and you will get the same thing.

show is based off the comic, so bringing them into it right now would totally throw everything done in the comic into the garbage.

obviously they won't do a wepisode on merle or the black guy or the kid.

they are not the purpose of webisodes.

every show has some sort of huge cliffhanger to make you keep watching the show to see what happens.

It would be cool if they made a webisode on what happened to them at least, could be a cool concept.

will never happen.

if they were ever brought back into the show then they have a full episode they could work with on what happened.

I believe these things are good and what keeps us watching it. I believe they will touch base on it at some point in the series, or why else would they show the cop talking on the radio all the time. Talking about the black guy and his kid, of course.

I think all these cliff hangers will be solved, with time, but in the mean time, more cliff's will come.
