Also, Daryl has made it so personal with Dwight that he is willing to abandon good judgement to go after him. The only way for this to end is for one of them to die. Since Dwight is apparently an important character going forward in the comics, he has more plot armor than Daryl atm.

Dwight seems kind of retarded, so maybe there is some truth to this having more plot armor thingy.
