the premiere for next season to me looks pretty obvious:

it was a part of well's plan to be captured in order to activate the particle accelerator from the inside, which does go off because he rigged the place beforehand (or maybe via grodd's help) resulting in eddie getting his super speed. i'm always one step ahead of you yadi yadi yada, and he escapes in the chaos of the explosion. maybe ronnie will be visiting the black guy beforehand and have his fusion partner switch during the explosion as well.

maybe cisco dies in the process since he was destined to die? probably not since he's one of the favorites of the series
