FYI, a well placed shot to the T section of the face does not always result in a brain stem hit(which is what you need to hit), nor does it always result in a sack of potato drop. From a handgun? even more unlikely. What you're talking about requires a high powered rifle from a trained marksman and again isn't a guarantee. Thanks for playing though.

so looking at IMDB, who was cast as negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) doesnt appear until s6 e16 (which would be the season finale)
and reading the comics, those guys who stopped daryl, abraham and sasha are prolly gonna get merc'd, leaving one alive to tell negan to back off, which will then lead to a lot of crazy shit leading up to the season finale, in which we will finally see negan and presumably lucille, leading to what could be one of, if not the biggest/best cliff hangers of all time.

If the leak is accurate(given the source and how accurate they've been with plot details) looks like we're going to have a certain something something and a fade to black, though it could've just been the way the were filming it.
If we do get the cliffhanger on the pivotal moment, there is going to be some salty people around here.
