so no one died (technically). what a lame cliff hanger, last weeks episode had me drooling for this weeks.

Was to be expected. They wrote 8 and 9 as one episode, some of the key comic parts won't happen until the season returns.

The after credit scene during into the badlands will either have sasha, daryl and abraham with a key comic book arc or be something else.

and on-par means very good for this series

I thought the stakes for the cliffhanger were a little in the high side. it literally left everything off in the middle of action. I would have preferred something with some form of closure involved. Deanna's death was good of course, but having Sam keep yelling 'mom as they did the guts walk was just taking it a little too far.
