As i said earlier, cinema is not a science. Everyone can have a diffrent feeling about the same movie

If you don't think the movie was dark or psychological then maybe we are talking about distract movies. Joker is one of the darkest modern takes on society that has recently released as a big budget movie. If you can't see that it's cuz you failed to connect it to real life in the ways you are supposed to connect it. It's terrifying because it paints a picture of a character that could literally be created in real life in modern America.

I'm going to assume when you say "herp derp not dark enough" you mean not enough killing or gore, which is just silly. The deaths in the movie have an actual impact because it isn't a regular thing.

You also bring up the base character "it's not dark enough for the inspiration" but it's literally darker than any Joker origin story that currently exists. Not to mention you can see clear inspiration that was pulled from the different comic origins, so what the fuck are you talking about?

At least we agree on the fact a dark movie isnt about killing or gore. I never said that, so i wonder why you giving me those words. I also never talked about distract movies or about big budget ones. I was only talking about the "dark" label given to this movie. Maybe it was one of the darkest big budget movie, maybe it was one of the darkest comic movie, but last years i seen some movies and shows with darker storylines, like True Detective season 1, The killing all seasons, Galveston movie, Seven movie, Black Swan movie, Amen movie, Requiem for a Dream movie and Into the Wild movie as some examples.
