This sounds right.

I'm still trying to figure out how many people DC had to pay off to convince anyone that this movie isn't fucking terrible. Not that critics are the end-all be-all, hell, a lot of the time they're way off due to their idiotic agendas interfering with a legitimate rating. That being said, there's no way anyone is going to convince me this movie is good when the average rating (counting all the paid off fake critics) at a 60 with real critics giving it a 48. I'll check it out once a good copy shows up online and I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe, if I lower my expectations as much as humanly possible, I'll be able to at least understand how this pile of trash got even a 48%.

Watched a second time tonight. One of my fav DC movies for sure. Still not as good as some of the marvel movies but definitely improvement.

I saw it last week, & it was better than I thought it’d be. Visually it was pretty cool, Atlantis had an Avatar feel to it. King Orm was a believable villain, better than most superhero movie villains. Their first fight was pretty dope. Had some funny moments, albeit there were a few super cheesy ones. The beginning for examine, was [almost] unbelievably cheesy. If I had to rank it against the other DC movies, it’d probably be second behind MoS, but better than WW / JL / BvS

But it was as bad as I thought it was going to be. Went in with zero expectations cuz friends wanted to see it, funny to see their disappointed faces afterwards ...like what are people thinking. He did a good job though, and with better writing and less CGI clusterfuck it could have been something.

yet still at one point the advisor was like "aquaman has already shown himself to be twice the leader you are"

literally all aquaman had done at that point is talk shit and lose a fight

absolute garbage and I pretty much never say this about superhero movies
