Overall good movie imo

I think it was cool how they almost tried to disguise the real “storyline” of the movie which was Dixon realizing that he was a piece of shit and trying to turn his life around it’s like the billboards and crime were a subplot

Great acting by Harrelson Rockwell and the main woman

And a few funny scenes

I'm not sure what kind of change I'd do to the ending to keep it a great movie but make it feel... Like an ending.

Maybe saying the DNA was inconclusive would be enough... Idk. Saying it definitely wasn't him but we are going to go and maybe kill him anyways feels like it should be the half way point of a worse movie that turns into some sort of Bonnie and Clyde cross country murder spree, not the ending of a great movie.

All of the actors were phenomenal though. I don't think there was a single weak spot. I think the girl thai played the ex husband's new gf did a great job. She was cute and silly and the perfect comedy relief to some pretty intense scenes that could have easily spiralled if not for her.

She's Australian. Use to play an actress in an aussie soap series.

Would enjoy seeing bobs

I enjoyed this a lot. Pretty much every minor or major character throughout the entirety of the film played their role perfectly, which is a rare thing. Far too often it's a few strong performances surrounded by mediocrity, but everyone gave it their best on this, and it just came together perfectly. I thought the ending was what it needed to be. I would have liked some closure as well, but this being the type of movie it was, and for it feeling as real as it did, closure isn't a reality for the victims of incidents like this, and I'm glad they went with an ending that felt real to me, vs an overly convenient and fake feeling end. I imagine that they changed their minds before getting to Idaho, or maybe they got there and watched the guy and depending on what they saw, they made their decision based off that. I like to think they killed him, but they both seem too sensible for that. One of my favorite scenes in the whole movie was the realization on McDormand's face after her ex copped to burning down her signs. I had assumed it wasn't Rockwell, but that was just fucking perfect, and then her admitting what she did to Rockwell, and his response was just perfect as well. He's always been one of those actors that has kind of pissed me the fuck off, but I thought he was fucking phenomenal in this.

Anyways, great recommendation and I'm glad I finally had an excuse to watch this.
