Klingons have looked different basically ever iteration. Saying "what are you talking about they looked roughly the same" proves my fucking point.

Plus this is like a good few years before any other star trek canon, and Klingons in discovery are fucking obsessed with staying pure and not mixing with the federation. Doesn't take a fucking genius to figure out what is going to happen.

Lmfao, your point was that they were looking different in each series, which is demonstrably false, you claim victory while being proven false, how dense are you? Do we need to call professionals to take you into special care? I'm genuinly worried about your cognitive abilities here...

If they looked the same you wouldn't need the modifier "roughly". Sit down. (Plus if you think they look the same you are an idiot that can be proven wrong with a simple Google search).

They have not looked different in every series. There is 2 basic looks prior to discovery.
Original trek - no cranial ridge
Everything after original - cranial ridge
Reboot movie- cranial but slightly updated , explained by being a new timeline so canon is not broken.

Well, if you have a franchise, like ghostbusters and have created a reputation and expectation about the fictictive universe, and then you shit upon everything that makes that universe and still want to be part of the franchise because you want to use the fame of previous efforts to turn a quick buck...then you're lazy and afraid to rely on your not-humanly looking aliens and story..... You can't have your cookie AND eat it too.

roughly = because the franchise spans many decades and our abilities regarding makeup, effects etc. have hugely increased. Klingons however always have remained recognizeable UNTILL Discovery, you only recognize them through the narrative of the series. THAT point flew so far over your head that they're still searching for it in Andromeda galaxy. Sit down, shut up and let people with at least half a brain talk.

Except the last 2 images from into darkness and discovery belong before the original trek image.
And the problem people are having is there is an explanation to jump from the plain original trek version to the version from the first movie / stng and forward.
There is also an explanation for the alternate timeline version from into darkness.
people are skeptical how jumping from curent discovery version to original trek and then back to the ng version will be explained rationally.

Man I really want to like this, but it's not great. I feel like if these writers knew anything about Star Trek they'd know rigging an enemy corpse with explosives is a war crime. I hate Star Trek where the federation is the bad guy, and here come the biological weapons in order to win at all cost, etc. The Federation at War stuff destroys the illusion of them as explorer and diplomats and just make the federation awkward, and even a bit creepy. pls get better.

Pretty sure they did something really similar before. Beaming a bomb onto a ship. Plus that "rule" might be made after this series, discovery is the past afterall.

My main issue is they are doing a prequel which is stupid. Writing themselves into a corner basically. This fantastical new travel technology is going to have to go horribly wrong. Not being able to use Vulcans so using a human trained by Vulcans, everything they have clearly being way more technologically advanced than other star trek shit, etc. It's all very seriously stupid and could have been avoided by jumping a few hundred years into the future instead of the past.

People like remco6 are so stupid saying shit like "herp derp Klingons derp" instead of looking at the real issues with the series.

I mean it's war crime today, its in the Geneva Convention. But yes I agree about the prequel thing, there's literally no reason for it to be a prequel, and with the new method of transportation, I mean we obviously know it doesn't work out, or Picard would have used it. Oh well, I'm still hoping this show works out.
