Have you done anything other than watch the live action movies? The DC animated shows+movies kick the shit out of Marvel, anyone would tell you that if you asked, even Marvel first fans. Not to mention the comics are a lot more entertaining and have way better writers. The amount of amazing/classic DC comic story lines dwarfs Marvel.

Not to mention Marvel ripped off like 90% of their heroes from other sources, mainly DC. Plus a lot of Marvel Heroes get their powers from drugs so that's a pretty shit message to send kids. And as a final point, basically every single Marvel comic line (not including Spiderman) was horribly failing pre-mcu and getting close to shutting down before the mcu renewed interest. Iron Man is a prime example of this.

I know fox does a lot of the films, but I consider x-men to be part of marvel...

Marvel is more popular/better... give me some stats that say otherwise.
Movies, fans on internet, and tv series seem to all go in the direction of marvel

And watching the animated cartoon of x-men as a kid was pretty great. I did watch and enjoy juctice league too, it's just inferior to marvel

DC has never gone so low as to over sexualizing their characters to try and generate sales, Marvel has done that for multiple years, example: "swimsuit edition" covers they did for years. Didn't work though, DC outsold them handily. Marvel is a fucking joke and has had to sell itself to two different companies to avoid bankruptcy.

Marvel's highest grossing film was the Avengers at 623m. BvS had 873m, suicide squad had 745m and Dark Knight+Rises both had over 1b.
