Should i watch the movie be4 starting the series?

I thought I read an interview where crichton said he didn't want a remake, and now they are doing it after his death.. seems a bit uncool. Hopefully the series is really good and doesn't diminish over the run.

This shit is gonna be amazing. Can't wait. You can tell its gonna get dark as fuck and fast. First episode just providing the smallest gaze into how fucked up the world is/gonna be

Anyone notice in the Bar - the player piano was playing Black Hole Sun, thought that was pretty cool.
Yeah already wished there was more of a story developing - I hope they dont go with Evan Rachel Wood as the Main perspective
Guess Ill have to wait to see a few more episodes but there are so many strong characters already, probably wont be a problem.
