Max level is raised with each expansions which is EXTREMELY common in rpg/mmo style games.

Honestly, with how long I've played Diablo and video games in general, I could currently care less about being the best at it. I'm tired of the days of trying to compete with people I don't even know or care about.

With the time I play games, I play how I want and I play to have fun. With the time I played Diablo 3, I never looked up the best builds, I used what I wanted and I did just fine with multiple characters.




Diablo 2's pvp was fun, but completely fucked....if you want to talk about imbalancing but I believe the bulk of jsp doesn't need to be enlightened about that.

Leveling doesn't take long in Diablo 3, so your choice becomes more widespread very quickly. The rune system is great. The idea of being able to manipulate how a skill is used or changing its properties creates a whole new realm than d2 had.

If you messed up in Diablo 2, you had to start over and that's a compete waste of time. Well, respec wasn't introduced for a LONG time.

Diablo 2 stats....

Enough strength for gear.
If you want max block, pump some dex,
Intel for specific builds,
Otherwise dump into vitality

That's not very complex if you ask me. Get better gear? Oh no, now I have to make a new character so I can have 5 more vitality and 5 less strength.
