Things like Marvel or Star Wars are baller to watch in theatres because the effects look much nicer on a big screen. Watching a dialouge based film in the theatres dosen't add much to the experience but watching 200 million dollar action in 3d on the fatest screen ever does.

at home I mostly watch foreign hipster shit from the 60's but when i'm in the theatre i'm probably watching some shlock shit like the Hobbit with my brothers. Mostly because I can't get my brothers to watch the new Roy Andersson but also because Hobbit looks much better in the theatre while the new Roy Andersson will look pale, bleak and boring on every format so paying to watch in ultramegaHD dosen't make sense.

to sum this up: When im downloading a film im probably downloading a good film and when im paying to see a film im probably paying for a terrible film, that's why you can't judge peoples viewing habbits based on what makes money.

The poor taste of people who voted in this poll causes them to underrate The Wire, that's why it only has 60% of the votes.

I recently watched all of the wire after hearing people on this very forum rant about it like it's the best show ever. I think breaking bad, game of thrones, walking dead, Daredevil, (all one season of it) the west wing, the newsroom, and house of cards are all better shows.

The show just doesn't live up to the hyperbole on display. Not saying it was bad, just not truly great imo.
