They have been saying winter is coming, for the past 3 seasons.. and still hasn't come. Were all the events in the span of a week or something? So Stupid.

WHite walkers are also easily the best part of the series.... they barely use them, that's dumb.

Also, all the important characters getting killed.. are so anti climactic...figure with such big important characters.. more would be done.. but it;'s about as climactic as a slave getting killed.

Are you trying to be funny? the death of an "important" character, by definition, doesn't even remotely come close to being anticlimactic.

Like they said explicitly in the show, years can go by before the change of a season. Obviously their planetary dynamics aren't the same as ours, where our precession is slow enough to be negligible, our tilt with respect to the sun coincides with our orbit, and our interaction with other bodies have negligible perturbation with respect to the solar force. They probably have a more complicated system where, for example, they have a rapid precession, on the order of their orbital period, and other solar system bodies besides the sun have a significant impact on their motion, giving them the sort of chaotic unpredictable orbit that would lead people to not know how long the next winter will be, etc.

The first episode starts off pretty damn brutal.. With some monster-like creatures slaughtering two men..

But that's it?
For 6 and a half episode now, I have yet to see one of these creatures again.
They keep speaking of the winter that's "comming" - but does it (and the creatures) ever arrive?

Its pretty slow moving and if you havnt read the books there is a ton of information to take in, in just the first few episodes.
it does pick up before the end and the following seasons are great.

its just laying the groundwork.
