That was a damn good backstory episode. Lennie James might be the best actor on the show.

another detail that struck me, but maybe I am remembering something wrong so lemme ask about it:

At the beginning, Morgan was already using the phrase "here's not here", including writing it on one of the rocks

Then later, when they were back at that makeshift camp where Eastman got bitten, Eastman used that phrase as though it was one of his philosophies. It was at that point that audience was let in on what it meant. It seems a little odd that Morgan would already have that phrase in his vocab when he hadn't heard it yet...

Eastman only used it after he saw a rock where Morgan wrote it.

Pretty big yawn of an episode.

That episode may have not been the most action packed but many of the Walking Dead fans wanted to see more of Morgan and this backstory piece was nicely put together in my opinion.

good dialogue silly that they have to kill evreyone off though in such a silly fashion

Problem is some viewers have a serious case of ADD. They're hung up over glenn and ignoring a beautiful episode.
Morgan's character was minor, with only a few appearances, yet he was the most requested, the most fan received.
People have been begging for an episode like this.

I think the placement was perfect because we've been ramped up and then given a cliffhanger and you're then given a dialed down episode for fleshing out a character more.

Also, I saw this, seems fitting.

i was always hearing about this walking dead show, didnt know i had it on my channels. was good. im guessing there bring that mob to that fortress place? what season is this?
