i dont know if any people noticed in the news paper "RED SKIES VANISH" which means most likely lex luthor in the future filtered out the uv rays to strip supes of his powers, which means some huge battle went down and thats also around the same time flash disappears.hence the title "disappears in crisis". there could be multiple things that could of happened but wont know for sure. In the comics the other flashes from different periods join forces.Dr wells went back in time to klll barry he followed him or it has something to do with that huge battle in the future. which is why wells keeps looking at the newspaper also. all those could be a part or some of it i just know when start messing with time travel most likely gonna bring that in

wells is trying to keep his future in tact, thats why he keeps lookin at the newspaper.
