Carol has certainly experienced tragedy as that is unavoidable in the Zombie Apocalypse but as is clearly evident in that last show when the insane "wolf's" attacked the community , she was the only one that thankfully keep her head on her shoulder and got stuff done - she also is more in tune with the reality of the situation.
She's able to handle the pressure better than anyone because she's has the experience and is one tough bitch.

Kinda reminds me of Sarah Connor's escape scenes from T2, getting crap done.

That helped create the carol we know today, but at that moment she wasn't the diehard that she is now.

I did like how the show ended, with the timer going off cause the cookies were done baking, it's like - ok we were just attacked by insane people with machetes and I'm thankful that that's over but your freak out still didn't screw up my perfectly baked cookies. um - yeah.

That's a great point. It's one of those cases of the interpersonal drama in the show tying into the zombie survival aspect. They started setting that up in the 2nd episode of the series and it is still being progressed.

That example of good writing you brought up is a great counterargument against that guy who keeps mindlessly bashing the show in this thread.

Thinking a guy is mindlessly criticizing this entire show because he didn't like a single decision comparative to the hundreds of choices that have been made in this theoretical science fiction horror story in a thread of 4500+ posts, and btw not just any decision but an integral one that just might definitively prove that Rick could be a failed leader, could also be seen as a huge sign that someone might be more importantly completely guilty of missing the integral theme on the effects of being a half crazed senseless zombie to Corporate pop culture, but as it was also a "decent" attempt at using those few active neurons left in what one might call a brain, your attempt at putting together a mutely pointed thought is duly noted and am currently sending you a bag of Ranch flavoured Doritos and a bottle of Pepsi for your witless efforts and lack of credible perspective.

Right I wasn't necessarily arguing with you. I think several events have led her to become the woman she is now. As sultan said remember she was the victim of an abusive spouse as well.

Most of the main characters of the group have adapted to the zombie apocalypse and have found their own (Gabriel/Eugene question mark). However most of these characters would also have been successful without the zombie apocalypse. I don't think carol would have, and think it's interesting that the apocalypse saved her life and turned her into a very productive person. Perhaps this can be applied to Daryl as well.
