But this latest episode, "JSS," offered some hope that the series may have broken out of its patterns.

Totally. I was sitting there like "here it comes, the guy that hasn't been foreshadowed or shown at all is going to pop out and machete this chick."
Then it happened. Totally expected. Shit show so predictable.

That's not the part that was predictable, but honestly - was that the first time that community had been attacked years into the Zombie apocalypse? It's pretty hard to be that clueless - but I guess for some people it comes naturally.

If you think rick will die in this series you have not been paying attention. The show is HIS story. The very first episode of the series tried kind of hard to drive that home.

He's turning into the Governor - the pressure of leading when there is so much death around him and he's never really recovered from his wife dying - he just seems like he's a little too far out there, making rash decisions. His son is actually very level headed and so is Carol and for that matter so is Darryl and i'd vote for one of them - but I guess there's no voting and this ain't no democracy.

Well, if you're so sure Rick can't die in the Zombie Apocalypse, then I guess the show has settled into predictability.

Loll carol is way more far gone than Rick is. By like... A lot.
