They had time to build the fortified "fence" at the curve in the road - that's why all those shots were in B&W - flashbacks.

Whether it was weeks or months - no one could say except the producers - but i think they're on vacation.

To make a path for them in the woods to follow wouldn't be that hard - they would just need to cut down a few trees , some sheets (to act as blinders) - perhaps a ditch, a few well placed sound/light machines to make a path of least resistance. They could even test it out first before leading them all through.

And also we know from a few seasons ago, they use to get Zombies to walk into a pit , although it was only 10 feet deep, Zombies have no idea about the concept of "ground" or "safety" or "tree" even.

Just found this on reddit, it will suit my purpose.



Semi trailers are a bit under 60 feet, which is clearly longer than that cliff drop. The truck is on a ramp going into the quarry so let's be generous and say add another 10 feet to the max height. That is still only about a 65ft cliff.

I think a more sensible plan would be to make hay, or similar flammable trash, balls, set them on fire and roll them off the cliff into the middle of the zombies. Like the Germanic tribes used in their ambushes on the Romans. Possibly even repurpose a fire truck to spray oil or something first.

Awesome, but if you notice - that view is from the same side where they first noticed the pit and you can clearly see that the road leading out is only at the 1/2 way point of the actual pit - that wall behind it - is still the actually the mining pit so its actually 2x 60 feet or 100-120 feet, and the other side of that pit there is no road to break up the pit in 2 - so its just 100-120 feet straight down.

Easily. They so tightly packed and bumping into eachother. Make a bit of noise and they will all clump together at the bottom of the cliff. Fire spread from zombie to zombie.

i like this idea - and even if it didn't destroy every single one - multiple ideas could have been used to thin out the herd of rotting flesh.
