How did the dragon get so big?

It seemed like little time passed from when we last saw it in the season 5 finale.

Khaleesi was found in the field by the Dothraki, taken to their camp and then she burned it down. Seemed like a few days or maybe a few weeks at most.

Drogon is the alpha dragon, he was free roaming and eating as much as he liked, dragons grow larger when they're free.

Aegon's dragon was a monster.

Dragons are magical creatures. In the lore they get to mature age and full size faster than other creatures.

Episode 6 made up for the earlier ones... only 4 more to go... hope they are as good as this one.

There was so much setting up this episode. I wonder how fast paced the next one will be. First things first. I want Arya needling down that faceless bitch.

Showing Bran seeing the mad king. Does that lend any credibility to the fact that bran may have caused him to burn them all?

Secondly, do we know that the Got world is in the "past"? Could it be possible that it happens in a very distant future in a world ravaged by a technology ending apocolypse?

Just wondering if these are even viable and shame on me of these have been posted already!
