Less is for things you don't/can't count.

Fewer is for things you can count.

Fewer potatoes.

Waffle = waffling on about anything that is something to them but does not mean anything to others or does not have any content to current topic/affairs etc?
Hunter = you track down anything that can be utilised to kill any subject matter because waffling is your end goal [i.e. trophy on the wall like all hunters display]
