Nice episode... only thing I don't get... are they in 2015 like us [Barry / Eobard Thawne]? That would make Eobard around 9 years old in 2024 when 'The Flash' disappears.
Maybe I am missing something, I am sure Eobard said he didn't exist yet [2015]. Also wondering how Barry creates Gideon, if he did that is, by this episode, I think RF set
things up that way.

I can gather that Eobard is from the future, but which one... The Flash went missing in 2024, Eobard came from what timeline to kill Barrys' Mother?
The timelines seem to be distorted and we have a parallel crossover because of it. Eobard changed it when he made killed Dr Wells and made the
machine earlier than before, thus creating a different timeline to his own future... just seems to be messy... mind you, I did not read a lot of Flash
comics either.

Why is Gideon helping dr wells if Barry created it.. And if eobward is from the future, then future Barry must be pretty old compare to him. And eddies defendant shouldn't that be far apart

I gathered that Eobard/Dr. Wells is from the distant future.
The newspaper that shows Flash missing is indicating when he became able to time travel.
He started time traveling and went missing from his current time period.
The reason that Eobard keeps looking at it is that his entire goal is to get Barry to be able to time travel, to use him to get back to his own time period.
He wants to see the date get closer to the present, and is frustrated that it hasn't moved at all, even with him getting Barry his powers at an earlier time and training him.
