i hate prequel shows, like we already know what happens.

Don't know if this is necessarily true

A lot of spin offs happen after the original is finished or near finished, bb for example. It will be interesting no doubt to see how the post apocalyptic world becomes the way it does, especially since the wd comic team is involved with its production.

My only issue I have is what happens when they make it to that state (where WD s1 starts)? Will they end the show or keep going. I hope they end it because then it will be like a time capsule and fans might become conflicted. For passionate fans of wd, some might have a hard time becoming equally invested in the same show even if the writing/acting is amazing.

fear the walking dead airs this sunday

i doubt it will be as good as the orignal

It's not trying to replace or repeat, its a complimentary story-line; I actually appreciate this kind of touch. And it's one of the few stories I can recall that actually describes or will attempt to the bedlam and chaos of an actual outbreak happening in real time, the only examples off the top of my head I can think of are Contagion and the Dawn of the Dead remake both of which lightly skipped over them without revealing much depth, not even 28 days later attempted to, instead only showing the preceding moment with patient zero then transitioning to the protagonist's perspective.
