All she is doing is saying thank you for saving me, sorry for being the instigator to your rivalry with Rick. Sorry
for being in love with Rick and not you. It was a confusing time for me, you saved me then. [My interpretation]

Shanes' interpretation... he only heard the words he wanted to hear.
"I messed up" / "The baby is yours" / "You are my knight in shining armor for rescuing me" / "I'm confused"
"What happened between us, I wanted it, I am sorry, so sorry" [My assumption]

Know matter what, Shane was in love with Lori, and he could not handle losing her to Rick, on top of that, he was losing respect from
the people HE RESCUED and kept alive before Rick came along.

Not saying your interpretation is incorrect... considering it is yours, I just see it in a different way, and it is also my past knowing people
in similar situations [in the real world] reacting the same way, not to the extreme though.

Oh and something about the show, everyone seems glad that Rick killed the abusive husband (blanking his name), but everyone seems to forget that he was a surgeon/doctor, something that is a huge asset

Interested to see the role Morgan plays now that he's back in the show!! Can't wait for season 6.

He was an asset mostly but also a liability... Carol has some minor medical skills, and maybe Morgan has a bit knowledge... damn, even Darryl was amazed that Morgan new what
to use to keep the mosquitos away from him [when he was tracking him]... and of course they lost him. ... well maybe not amazed, but he thought the guy new his stuff.
