Forgive me if i'm sounding argumentative, i'm not trying to be. To Jon Snow, Dragon glass is the only thing he cares about regarding Dany. To him, it seems to be enough to forge an alliance over. He did piss off all his banner men, risk his life, and travel a great distance just for the possibility to mine it. Seems important enough for him to make agreements over.
I agree. It's not just the dragon glass either. Dany has offered to help (do most of the work due to a much larger work force) mine it. This helps Jon tremendously as he is intent on getting back to the North asap and organising his forces.
Also, GoT has done this war brilliantly. We're all feeling the losses but in reality they aren't that bad. Dany is in Westeros now, she doesn't exactly need a fleet. And Westerosi forces have rallied behind the queen to fight her foreign armies. If the unsullied suffer a loss it's not the worst thing to happen.
Now if she loses and dragon.. that'll be a different tune
