Question I was thinking about: What is the point of the Dorne story? None of their connections from the book are in place.

No Quentyn Martell. There's no male at all in their story to go after Dany. The only character traveling anywhere even vaguely near the vicinity of Dorne is Sam/Gilly but I highly doubt there would be a connection there.

The renegade Ironborn may decide to go reaving there simply because they want to put as much distance as possible between themselves and Euron, but that doesn't really make much sense.

Is Dany just going to decide Dorne would make a good landing spot?

They've completely fucked Euron and the ironborn and destroyed the Dorne plot. The renegade and epic SANDSNEKS will probably openly pledge Dorne's support to Dany since they're without allies and because of Dorne's ties to Rhaegar through Elia Martell.
