Went and saw it tonight finally. It was almost exactly what I thought it was going to be. Typical Marvel movie with lots of canned jokes, mediocre performances (outside a few moments) and I thought the "epic battle" was super underwhelming and cheesy. There were a handful of decent moments, but it was lackluster. That being said, they did a great job with the pacing. 3.5 hours (counting trailers and w/e) didn't drag at all until the LotResque ending. RDJ was good as usual, no surprise there. Couple smfh moments, but like I said, it was as mediocre and predictable as assumed. 6-6.5/10

Eh I have to disagree with a lot of this. Thor and his arc was fantastic in this movie and makes a lot of sense tbh. He was always a bit narcissistic and had a huge ego, he has literally never failed. His entire character in Infinity War is hanging on a thread of defeating Thanos and he wasn't able to. Having his character being completely broken by that makes a lot of sense. Also that scene with his mom was super emotional.
Agreed. I thought they did a pretty good job with this. He was one of the more likable aspects of the film.

I do think Marvel was underutilized, but they explained it well enough. I also don't think they nerfed characters, I think they made Thanos too strong, but I mean I get they kind of had to.
They didn't really explain it at all.... Her power fluctuated dramatically and the ending makes no sense with a being that powerful there. Why the fuck can't she just throw the gauntlet on and snap a million times?

Honestly the worst part of the movie was that feminism charge. Like what the fuck is a stupid bitch with a spear going to do to help a fucking Godlike being?
There were multiple loud groans in the theater at that moment. It was so fucking pointless and pathetic. I don't know how women don't find shit like that super patronizing, I would.

Also wtf happened with Loki. Huge plot hole they never addressed.
I think we're operating under the assumption that everything was put back to normal in every time-line. That's assuming a lot and giving them more credit than they deserve, but that would explain it. Tony never collapses in the first place, hulk doesn't knock the case open and next to Loki.

E2: also I don't know how you can say they reverted Thanos character. Literally nothing about his character or motivation changed.
My guess is that he felt the same about Thanos' shift from "I must destroy life, to preserve life. I'm bringing balance in order to safe everyone, I am just a necessary evil." to "I'm going to kill everyone and rule the universe as a terrifying God because a handful of people defied me.". He's a zealot when it comes to his ideals, and all he needs to fix the quirk in his original plan, is to erase a handful of extra people. Him making the jump to wipe out all existence and recreate it as ignorant and grateful, didn't make a hell of a lot of sense for Thanos imo.
