As a Canadian I can tell you that most places that aren't Quebec hate Quebec. Bunch of entitled assholes that want to be spoonfed resources while not contributing anything of worth to the rest of Canada.

This is true. It's not just an American thing, it's an everywhere thing. Half my wife's family is from Quebec and they are indeed entitled assholes lol. Not everyone from Quebec is bad I'm sure, but like people from France, their open hostility and condescending nature towards anyone who's not a local (although I've heard it's gotten better in recent years), has given them a bad reputation.

There is a thing called equalization payments in Canada. Basically take from the rich provinces and give to the poor ones so all provinces have equallish money per capita. Quebec always gets 60%+ of the money the federal government collects for this equalization.

Edit: also separatists in Quebec want to secede from Canada but still get this money which is fucking hilarious. If you fucks left Canada we could easily buy the electricity we need (cuz we already do) and be up billions of dollars, whereas your entire society would fucking collapse.
