I really liked the movie.

As a movie itself I don't get the low ratings. I can understand people not liking it but to think it is bad is totally different.

I think it was by far the most original movie in the franchise. The acting was solid. Daisy seems to be following in Natalie Portman's footsteps. Star Wars managed to find another beautiful unknown actress and turned her into a star. I'm excited for her career.

I love how they finally closed the book on the Skywalker story. They made it clear in TFA that Rey is the main protagonist with Finn and Poe (just like Luke had Leia and Han).

I was worried with the hate it was getting but after watching it I left very pleased.

Episode 9 can't come soon enough.

If you watch it with zero expectations as a standalone action movie, then yes I agree it is a fun and entertaining movie. From a writing aspect, from a Star wars aspect, overall character development etc it's absolute GARBAGE.

I felt the character development and writing was the best in the series.
