Maybe the most shocking moment.

Cersei blowing up the Sept is my most memorable moment along with the Jon Snow parentage reveal. Both in the same episode which is why it is my favorite episode.

Sept was most shocking and memorable for me as well, and oberyn getting smushed...

Jon Snows parentage was the worst kept secret over the last 7 seasons

Ignoring outside theories from the internet it is a great reveal. It isn't their fault that today people study shows and post theories for up votes on the internet.

Can't really hold it against them. It is impossible to have a show be that watched and not have someone put clues together no matter how tiny the clues are.

True, in the show they didn't make it to obvious but there are more clues in the books

Yeah the hints in the show are very subtle and they purposely left out a lot of more obvious details that GRRM had in the books.

The whole scene of the reveal was great TV. It basically finally declared who the actual main character of the show was after 6 seasons. Up until then it was a toss up between Dany, Tyrion, and Jon.

Even if someone guesses right, you still don't know it's right until the reveal. So it really doesn't matter. If you just assume the fan theories are right then it's kind of dumb .

People probably shouldn't be looking up theories if they really want to just enjoy the show though

Reading the book and the wiki has made the show more enjoyable for me personally.

There's a balance. IMO, the show is TOO cryptic.

I'm a book reader, but I've been watching the show with friends and family and talking about it with them. Many casual viewers didn't understand where Rhaegar fit in the family tree. The show sprinkles in the information lightly enough that it doesn't stick in the memory of viewers very well. This takes way from the impactfulness of certain moments. Having to read up on it later to understand isn't the same as seeing the drama play out in real time, with the audio and visuals enhancing the experience.
