I pray you're right, I just have zero expectation now for this movie after the last two. It's sad that ratings are also just fucking pointless these days. While neither movie was bad, neither movie was close to amazing. TFA was talked about as if it was the best thing ever. People were losing their shit over the Han twist (another thing that EVERYONE knew was going to happen from the minute Ford signed onto the movie), and no one seems to comment on the lead actors being uncharismatic, mediocre at best actors. Then some fucking how the Empire once again has a planet killing facility that can be taken out by a single person, are you fucking kidding me? You really couldn't think of anything better? Then we've got the worst villain of any Starwars movie yet. Kylo is BY FAR the worst Sith we've seen on film yet. Even all the prequel villains were exponentially better.



You're right. Guess it has been a long time since I've watched the originals, going to binge watch them this weekend to rectify my stupid comment. I still don't remember them saying that everyone involved with getting the original plans died. I mean, it's obvious they did, but I just didn't think that was ever something that was discussed. As I was that grievously off on my last comment, I wouldn't be surprised if I'm dead wrong though.

Kylo is not a sith and he is an amazing villain because he is incredibly flawed. For once we see a villain who isn't incredibly powerful, who has emotion, who doesn't have complete balance, and who doesn't have an overwhelming presence in the first order. He is tested, and I hope we see his character progress.

No... he's an exact copy of the Anakin we hated, whiny and overly emotional about stupid shit. How do you progress that? Either he goes full evil, or he turns into a good guy. That's going to be so exciting.....

Flawed and imperfect characters is a positive idea. However, it becomes a shit idea real quick when this is the direction you go with that imperfection. Seriously, what is appealing about him to you? The things you described are fucking Anakin right before going into Vader.... so, we get to see 3 movies of someone ripping off the second most annoying SW character of all fucking time?

We have no idea how Kylo is going to progress. I don't see him as being an exact copy of Anakin at all. It's a completely different story between the two, under completely different circumstances.

Also, the balance of the force is an enormous struggle in the star wars universe. Seeing a force user become evil isn't something surprising.


It's not like other members of the dark side have been that much better, and there have been so few.

I wonder if they'ss address the issue of Rey's parents

(As far as I know) According to star wars lore a person can only that strong in the force untrained if her parents were

That would make sense. Kind of the story of Jacen and Jaina Solo from the books but now Kylo and Rey
