I honestly hope this statement holds true. As X-Men is my favorite superhero team of all time. But let's be honest, the X-Men films are very inconsistent. Matter of fact, they needed time traveling to fix their flaws of the series with Days of Future Past. Some of the films are pretty bad (Last Stand, Origins - and could make a case for Apocalypse), but then on the other some being AMAZING. X2, The Wolverine, First Class, and Days of Future Past are four of my favorite films of all time, but then I look at the other films and they just don't hold up as great films. So far I've heard nothing but good things so my expectations remain high (though not Dark Knight level) and I hope it knocks my expectations out of the park
Really? Was it Dark Knight Rises or Batman Begins that caused you to not be a big fan? Or is it just Batman the character in general?
I wonder if it isn't because it felt rushed and I am not sure I liked Christian Bale as batman, I prefer a comic-like batman like Ben Affleck, strong, muscular, fast while still pulling insane punches, it was one of the good thing on BvS, the fight scene of Batman, it made me think of batman arkham asylum a game I watched on stream sometimes.
About the Nolan Trilogy, I still enjoyed the third, the first one was ok, second one was the best of the three for me.
