Impossible to know what's going on in other people's minds, why people do the things they do, but don't judge a life that you know nothing about.
It is certainly no secret she had bad years through drugs and alcoholism (Carrie Fisher), but "years before she should have" really dawg? She was also an avid speaker about mental illness and drug addiction.
There's people that abuse drugs for very many years and live a long time, do they deserve to die early because of things they've done to themselves in the past? Why do some live and why do some die?
No one is asking you to pour your heart out in sympathy for these people, but don't be a complete asshole about it. She had a lot of fans, and made a far bigger impact on people's lives than you may know.

just look at the Native Americans a few hundred years earlier. They didn't have money-based economies and no one ever came along trying to genocide them and take their land. Jews had plenty of chances to learn from their example.
