nah i think it was because he couldn't handle one more time of making a fan favorite yet not getting a single award.

Lucas didn't want any more movies to be made, he was against it completely. He has turned down many directors and writers wanting to do a star wars movie. I think he sold it because 4 billion was more than it was worth at the time.

haven't seen that but his previous, super low budget was kinda ok and impressive for low cost (haven't seen since theater 2008 or whenever)
