Dammit it is hard to watch this show when michonne swings that katana with 1 hand and cuts of 2 zombieheads with 1 stroke(without putting weight behind it) and then see the governor wield it with 2h, full weight and force behind it and then does not cut off the head of herschel. They should dress michonne up with red blue and yellow and a big S on her uniform.

The difference between someone who knows what they're doing and someone that doesn't. There's also a difference between a horizontal slice and a downward slice that was made by the governor. If you remember, hershel was kneeling when the governor swung down at his neck, that's why it didn't come clean in one swipe.

Also, zombie heads and human heads don't really compare when it comes to detachment. Decayed vs a living person, decayed will slice easier.
